UNITED INSURANCE COMPANY (UIC) is one of the premier insurance companies in Syria with 8 branches including the Head Office and will also start operation in two more branches this year as part of its Growth strategy. It was established in 2006 by a group of Syrian and Arab businessmen with a paid up capital of SYP 850,000,000. UIC received license number one from the Syrian Insurance Supervisory Commission (SISC) and became the First Private Insurance Company to operate in Syria in mid 2006. Through the dynamic Board of Directors headed By Dr. Abdul Rahman Attar, the sound leadership of its top management and a team of professional and qualified staff, the company has ascended to this status and acquired the image of being a quality insurance company. Moreover, UIC commands an image of being a financially sound, professionally managed company. Since our start until today, we -The United Insurance Company- have been working on increasing the insurance awareness in the Syrian market by providing and supporting a range of insurance products, and diversity of our insurance portfolio which contributed greatly to increase the amount of our business and profitability over the last years and therefore has to support the financial capabilities of the company which gained the confidence of both customers and shareholders significantly, and the confidence of a major international reinsurance companies.
