ALSAC is the largest healthcare-related charity in the United States. Founded in 1957 by Danny Thomas, our sole mission is to raise the funds and awareness needed to operate and maintain St. Jude Children's Research Hospital®. While our headquarters can be found in Memphis, Tennessee, we have additional offices in more than 30 locations across the country and in Puerto Rico with positions in fundraising, marketing, digital, information technology, legal, finance and many other disciplines all supporting our lifesaving mission - Finding cures. Since 1983, we’ve been dedicated to transforming children’s healthcare by raising critical, unrestricted funds to support treatments, programs, and state-of-the-art equipment for local children’s hospitals. Our 170 member hospitals treat 12 million kids each year, supporting the mental, physical, and emotional health of patients and their families. THON™ is the world’s largest student-run philanthropy, engaging more than 16,000 students and over 25,000 alumni in the fight against childhood cancer. THON’s yearlong fundraising and awareness campaign culminates in a 46-hour no-sitting, no-sleeping dance marathon every February.
