UFC group Information

UFC Group was originally established in 1942 under the name “Idesh Tejeeliin kombinat” literally meaning “Food Things Combine” as a state-owned enterprise of the Mongolian People’s Republic. The company endured state ownership until 1997, when it was acquired by private owners and renamed Uvs Huns (Uvs foods). 2005 saw UFC Group purchase a majority interest in Uvs foods, whilst structuring in a new breed of entrepreneurial management whom procured additional capital investment for expansion. From 2006 the group has used its current name UFC Group, and expanded geographically throughout Mongolia. This encompassed the acquisition of substantial wheat and grain cultivating land within Mongolia. The group produces and supplies a variety of foods, from milk, vodka, soft beverages, bread and flour. Today the company is the fastest growing leader in beverages and third largest Vodka Producer in Mongolia, however 2012 saw a $10.6m investment in a new bottling processing factory with an objective to become number one vodka producer in Mongolia, combining vodka Imports to Europe and the US. Currently UFC group has over 350 employees and is in the top 100 enterprises in Mongolia and within the top 10 manufacturing enterprises in the Country. In Dec 2011 the group was included in the prestigious top ten Entrepreneurs list produced by the Mongolian Chamber of commerce and industry; criteria for entrance is Fully Paid Taxes and Corporate Governance Initiatives.
