Udaan's goal is to empower women by imparting necessary knowledge. Through our extensive fieldwork in Nepal & India, we educate women about menstrual & sexual health alongside breaking the taboos that engulf them. These taboos prevent nearly 20% of adolescent girls from continuing their education, thereby contributing significantly to the vicious cycle of hampering women's progress in society. In addition to these, most of these taboos encourage practices that are mind-numbing-ly dangerous. With workshops in India and Nepal open for every woman, we talk about these taboos. We inform about menstruation, puberty and the female body in general. In doing so, we ensure that these women have the knowledge of menstrual & sexual hygiene to make the right decisions and to have a healthy and safe life. It is our goal to empower these women and let them have complete autonomy on their lives.
