UCLA LAW Music Industry Clinic Information

UCLA LAW Music Industry Clinic ("MIC") provides free legal services for qualifying members of the music industry in the Los Angeles area. If you are a musician, songwriter, producer, independent label owner, or other individual involved in the music industry and not currently represented by an attorney, we hope to be able to work with you in the future! MIC is proud to provide two options for potential clients: The first option a general consultation on questions you may have regarding legal issues in the music industry. This option is helpful for those potential clients who do not have a specific legal issue or transactional matter to address at this time, but would like to obtain more general legal advice about their careers as they relate to the music industry. The second option is legal assistance with specific transactional matters that potential clients are facing. These may include, among other things, band agreements, management agreements, producer agreement, indie recording agreements, sample clearances, and co-writer agreements.
