EDUCATE acts as the catalyst in the development of evidence-based EdTech products and services. Our comprehensive and rigorous training programme is designed to help SMEs and start-ups to use research evidence to evaluate and improve their products, and researcher entrepreneurs to commercialise their work. Our goal is for researchers, EdTechs, teachers and learners to work together to deliver better EdTech products. By working collaboratively to improve the quality of EdTech products and services, and through engaging with users as part of the design process, EDUCATE aims to stimulate demand for more and better EdTech. EDUCATE is a UCL-led collaborative partnership, match-funded by the European Regional Development Fund, with Nesta, F6S and the British Educational Suppliers’ Association. It uniquely brings together EdTech SMEs and start-ups with researchers, entrepreneurs and educators, in a working collaboration founded on learning science and world-class research. Our ambition is better, evidence-informed EdTech products enabling better, digitally enhanced education.
