The UCI Basic Needs Center promotes equitable access to basic needs through student empowerment, community collaboration, and institutional integration. Our aim is to shift cultural consciousness towards understanding the fulfillment of basic needs, which include food, financial, and housing security – a guaranteed right for every person. We are committed to making UCI a basic needs-secure campus. Our center offers a variety of services to UCI students to help them meet their basic needs. From food pantry visits, CalFresh Application Assistance, to consultations with our social workers. We strive to offer support from a holistic approach. We understand that meeting the basic needs of our students greatly impacts their mental and physical health, academic performance, work productivity, and holistic success. We are a home for all students, a collaborative space for innovative solutions, and an advocate for social justice and equity. Hours of Operation: Monday - Friday from 10AM-3PM
