UABio Information

The Bioenergy Association of Ukraine (UABIO) is a nonprofit organization established in 2013 to unite businesses and experts, foster cooperation across Ukraine’s bioenergy sector, and create favorable conditions for its sustainable growth. Today, UABIO brings together around 70 Ukrainian and international companies representing different segments of the bioenergy market, along with leading industry experts. The Association serves as a platform for collaboration among businesses, policymakers, researchers, investors, international partners, and civil society. UABIO promotes bioenergy as a vital component of Ukraine’s energy independence, economic resilience, and transition to green energy. The Association actively contributes to developing a supportive regulatory environment by preparing legislative proposals and participating in parliamentary committees, public councils, and working groups under relevant government authorities. Knowledge sharing and public awareness are central to UABIO’s work. The Association publishes expert materials, organizes industry events, shares bioenergy insights across media platforms, and promotes international cooperation and sustainable bioenergy solutions. UABIO implements projects supported by international partners and donors, including UK International Development and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), among others. Through these initiatives, the Association brings international expertise and best practices to Ukraine and supports the country’s green recovery and sustainable energy transition. Together, we are building a sustainable, competitive, and energy-independent Ukraine.
