AB „Achema“, didžiausia azoto trąšų ir kitų pramoninių chemijos produktų gamintoja šalyje bei didžiausia tokio pobūdžio gamykla Baltijos šalyse, įkurta 1965 metais. Pagrindinė įmonės veikla – azoto trąšų, skystų trąšų kambario ir lauko augalams, amoniako, azoto rūgšties, formalino, KF dervų, angliarūgštės, deguonies, azoto, bazinio aliuminio sulfato tirpalo gamyba ir prekyba. Bendrovėje dirba per 1.300 žmonių. Metinė trąšų gamyba - apie 2 milijonus tonų. AB „Achema“ įsikūrusi Jonalaukio kaime, Jonavos rajone, šalia Neries ir Šventosios upių santakos. Šią gamyklos vietą lėmė patogi geografinė padėtis: čia praeina svarbios šalies automagistralės ir geležinkelio linijos, jungiančios įmonę su didžiaisiais Lietuvos miestais ir neužšąlančiais Baltijos jūros uostais.
