At Twisted Grove, this means shareable small plates, hearty sandwiches, farm-fresh salads and delicious entrées. Christopher Collins is a fourth-generation restauranteur who grew up watching his father open and run restaurants across the country. Some of his earliest and fondest memories are sitting in the kitchen long after his siblings had gone to bed and waiting for his dad to come home, usually with a grocery bag filled with meats, cheeses, and fresh bread that they would snack on as he listened to his dad talk about his day. That idea, that food can bring people together and create shared, special experiences fueled him to begin learning more about the industry as he grew up. After studying hospitality management at Boston University, Christopher was recruited by Hillstone Restaurant Group and spent the next several years traveling the country and learning every aspect of running a successful restaurant, or as he would say, from soup to nuts. He took what he learned from Hillstone combined with the genuine hospitality and neighborhood focus his father had taught him to create Grassroots Kitchen & Tap, which opened in 2011. From there, he opened Twisted Grove Parlor + Bar, The Macintosh, Wallys American Gastropub, The Collins Small Batch Kitchen, Arcadia Catering Company and Sweet Provisions.
