Romanian Television operates under the control of the Parliament, according to Law no. 41/1994. The President of the Board of Administration is assigned by the Parliament, for a period of four years. The Board of Administration of TVR is made up of 13 members, assigned by the majority vote of deputies and senators, for a period of four years. TVR means: six channels - TVR 1, TVR 2, TVR 3, TVR Cultural, TVR INFO and TVR International - plus five regional studios: TVR Cluj, TVR Iaşi, TVR Timişoara, TVR Craiova, TVR Târgu Mureş and the website www.tvr.ro. Also, public television has obtained a license for the channel experinetal TVR HD, which began work on June 1st, 2008. Financing: mainly the TV license fee, but also revenues from advertising and from the state budget, according to Law no. 41/1994.
