Tuxpan Economic Development Council Information

The City of Tuxpan's Economic Development Department (Tuxpan EDC) is a public Economic Development Organization (EDO) that follows best practices and guidelines to attract, retain, expand and incentivize job creation, retention. and expansion. Tuxpan EDC is in charge of gathering, classifying and analyzing economic data (NAICS, Economic base, Shift-share, LQs, demographics, quality of life, workforce, amongst others) to design strategies for sustainable economic development. Develop industry and economic reports for an informed decision making. Create and incentivize development zones for public and private investment that contribute to the overall livability of the city. Develop strategic and emergency plans for economic development. Design business development policies that improve the business environment. Promote and implement policies that increment population’s well being and raise their standard of living. Create and professionalize the economic development organization and staff to ensure proper management and continuity for the consistent implementation of the economic policy.
