Tutunski Kombinat AD Prilep (TKP) Information

For 150 years, since its establishment in 1873, TKP strive to create and bring to the market the best possible oriental tobacco and other tobacco products. Today it is producing oriental tobacco, cigarettes, and adhesives for various industrial usages. Oriental tobacco is at the core of TKP operations since its establishment in 1873. Thanks to the unique soil characteristic and climate, combined with the dedication and production know-how of partner farmers and advanced agricultural practices, oriental tobacco from TKP is renowned for its high quality. After entering a strategic partnership in 2014, Philip Morris International became the most prominent buyer of TKP’s oriental tobacco. Cigarettes production started in the 1950ties. In the 1960ties TKP build new cigarettes manufacturing facility on the outskirts of Prilep and over the years created a portfolio of iconic and award-winning brands. In 2014, TKP entered a strategic partnership with Philip Morris International, re-established itself as cigarettes manufacturing center and now manufactures iconic brands like Marlboro, Chesterfield, Filter Oriental, etc. Adhesives production was the latest addition to TKP operations. Production started in the early 1990ties based on licensed technology. The current product portfolio includes adhesives for various usages in the paper industry and production of corrugated carton boxes, wood industry and labels adhesives for various materials like glass, PET, etc.
