Tube Lines Information

Tube Lines is a fully owned subsidiary of Transport for London (TfL). It is responsible for the maintenance and upgrade of the infrastructure on the Jubilee, Northern and Piccadilly lines of the London Underground. It operates under one of the largest capital investment programmes in transport anywhere in the world. The company’s vision is to deliver an outstanding Tube for London. These three lines are among the busiest on the Underground network and are some of the most heavily used transport arteries in the UK. Tube Lines is responsible for 320 kilometres of track, 255 trains, around 100 stations, 2,395 bridges and structures, 227 escalators and 82 lifts. Tube Lines also provides a number of services across the network including the Emergency Response Unit (ERU), Distribution Services and Trans Plant.
