As a low-lying, densely populated country, the Netherlands is dependent on a network of engineering structures to remain habitable. Especially now, as our society faces so many difficult worldwide challenges such as climate change, energy transition, resource depletion, urbanisation and the availability of clean water. With more than 3500 students and 500 researchers we work every day on clever solutions for these challenges, to change the world and make an impact. Once graduated, our students will find they are just as needed as back in 1842, when the faculty of Civil Engineering and Geosciences was at the heart of the foundation of TU Delft.
