Friendship at Home is a charity based in Cleethorpes and provides services for older people over the age of 60 in the Borough of North East Lincs. We aim to reduce social isolation and loneliness across North East Lincolnshire, and help improve older people’s quality of life. This is through our befriending service, weekly social groups, and exercise classes, where we encourage older people to make new and lasting friendships, and become a valued part of their local community. We also provide social activities, advice, information, support and physical activities. Through our range of activities, we aim to combat isolation, depression, and loneliness. Our tai chi, chair based exercise and kurling sessions provide physical activities with a social connection. We also offer one-to-one befriending in the members home, residential befriending, and an independent living service. Last but not least, we run a Dementia club for older people with mild to moderate memory impairments. Develop Re-engage as an intergenerational community. Ensure that members are treated as equals. HARNESS technology to deliver the best possible communications, volunteer and staff experience, and impact measurement. Take a 'digital first' approach. Use technology to reduce distances across our dispersed team. Support a greater and more diverse group of socially isolated and lonely older people... by diversifying our activities and reaching new audiences. Attract and retain volunteers with an excellent engagement programme... ...especially volunteer leaders who would like to take on extra responsibility. Ensure our staff are engaged and supporting and training our volunteers well. Use digital tools to measure impact and make sure were effective... and build our brand to share our successes and grow awareness and raise more funds. T.E.A.M R.I.S.E Project is a Community Interest Company based in Burnley (covering East Lancashire) that offers a safe and accessible environment to learning disabled and disadvantaged individuals. Our objective is to give individuals the opportunity to develop, socialise and explore their ideas and goals through a wide variety of educational, social and practical activities. We also provide tailored and empathetic support, empowering individuals to contribute to their communities in a meaningful and positive way, reducing social isolation and loneliness.
