Since its establishment 30 years ago, Lush Cosmetics has been driven by innovation and its ethics.
Creators of pioneering beauty products such as the bath bomb, shower jellies and solid shampoo bars, Lush places emphasis on fresh ingredients like organic fruits and vegetables.
Lush operates a strict policy against animal testing and supports fair trade and community trade initiatives. Lush leads the cosmetics industry in combating over-packaging by running public awareness campaigns and developing products that can be sold ‘naked’ to the consumer without any packaging. There are 923 Lush shops in 52 countries worldwide.
In Australia, we employ over 500 people from manufacturing staff, sales staff in store and online who serve our customers to the teams hand-making our products in the Sydney-based factory. In 2015, Lush received the Australian Retailer of the Year award.
Our Core Beliefs:
We believe in making effective products from fresh, organic fruit and vegetables, the finest essential oils and safe synthetics.
We invent our own products and fragrances. We make them fresh by hand using little or no preservative or packaging, using only vegetarian ingredients, and tell you when they were made.
We believe in buying ingredients only from companies that do not commission tests on animals and in testing our products on humans.
We believe in happy people making happy soap, putting our faces on our products and making our mums proud.
We believe in long candlelit baths, sharing showers, massage, filling the world with perfume and in the right to make mistakes, lose everything and start again.
We believe our products are good value, that we should make a profit and that the customer is always right.
At KORA Organics, we strive to inspire people to live a healthy and organic lifestyle. We believe everything we use can be powerful, gentle, and effective without compromising your health or our planet. Our mission it to harness the very best of nature to deliver immediate and visibly glowing results using the highest quality certified organic ingredients. We are good for the Earth, healthy for your body, and uplifting for your senses. A letter from our Founder and CEO, Miranda Kerr:“When I was 16, my mother was diagnosed with cancer, and I started to take a closer look at what I was putting in and on my body. This sparked my lifelong passion for organic ingredients and holistic health. Over the years, I found there wasn’t anyone creating certified organic and effective skincare and in 2009, I decided to make my own. After three years of partnering with some of the best chemists in the natural space, I launched a range of skincare that followed both the strictest global standards of safety and the highest levels of clinical performance for healthy, glowing skin. Today we’re in 30 countries and growing—using sustainable organic harvesting practices that result in less waste for the planet, without toxins on your skin and up to 60% more antioxidants. I’m so proud of what we’ve created and for uou to experience the power of organics.”
Thankyou is a social enterprise, we bring consumers a product choice that exists for one purpose only; to help create a world where not one person lives in extreme poverty.
Why? We live in a world of extremes. Thankyou exists to bridge two of them. Right now, there are approximately 692 million people stuck in extreme poverty. With many dying daily, simply because they lack access to basics for their health, education and living standards. Meanwhile, consumer spending totals around US$69.58 trillion a year.
This injustice is fed by a broken system. We believe that to change the world, we must change this system. Together, remake it.
Our mission; amplifying impactful change-makers to better serve people living in extreme poverty by redistributing wealth from consumer spending.
Together, we've raised $18.57 million to fund impactful change-makers around the world. We've only just begun.
