Tructric Information

Tructric is set out to reduce CO2 emissions and energy consumption from long distance truck transportation, by enabling combined transportation with seamless transition between road and rail. Tructric holds a new and innovative RoRo loading technology based on horizontal precision maneuvering of semi trailers, in contrast to present methods requiring lifting of trailer with heavy equipment. Thus present problems with low availability of suitable terminals, high cost and long lead times for the shift between road and rail are overcome. The target is to enable 1200 new intermodal train shuttles for semi-trailers in Europe by 2035, and thereby up till then save 40 Mton CO2 (equals 85% of Swedens total annual CO2 emissions) and 110 TWh (equals the annual production of 11 nuclear plants).
