Established in 1989. Our winery was started 33 years ago in the garage of a ski lover and his wife. For 9 years they made great wine for their friends and family in the area, and decided to expand. They moved the winery into a two story barn on the river, where they could make 1000 cases, with the help of their daughter and friends. Now, the family produces multiple award winning wines for direct sales to customers, wine club members and local restaurants. In 2020, Truckee River Winery consolidated to their downtown Truckee production facility, closing the doors on their tasting room. They offer tours, tastings, by the glass and bottle on their petite patio in front of their iconic winery in the red barn.
