Troop 27 was established in 2001 by Scoutmaster Kevin Pryor after his son advanced from a local Cub Scout Pack. Kevin served as our Scoutmaster as his son and several boys made their way to Eagle. Afterwards, he turned the leadership of the Troop over to our 2nd Scoutmaster, Ron Fish. Ron was a dedicated leader for several years and 8 boys achieved the rank of Eagle during his tenure. Our third Scoutmaster was Dave Albers. Under his leadership our Troop added another six Eagles. The fourth Scoutmaster was Ken Grula who continued the tradition of adding Eagles and growing the Troop. Paul Hubert served as our fifth Scoutmaster from 1/12/12 to 2/24/14 leading the troop on nearly every camp out during his tenure. Darrin Willingham served as our sixth Scoutmaster from 2/24/14 to 1/25/16 taking the troop to new heights at Camporee. Today, our current Scoutmaster is Rex Setzer beginning 1/25/16 with a new emphasis on the Patrol Method in a back to the basics approach to give the scouts more leadership experience.
