Troop 137 Competitors

The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.

Troop 42 is a very strong and active organization for the youth of our community. We have an extremely dedicated and active parent group. Our Scoutmaster, Dave Ptacek and our many committed Assistant Scoutmasters, work hard to train all our young men to achieve beyond their potential. We are a unit of the Red Cedar District of the Hawkeye Area Council located in wonderful Cedar Rapids, Iowa. As some have put it, not Idaho where they grow potatoes or Ohio where they have Buckeyes - Iowa where they grow more corn than any other state. Last, but certainly not least, we are excited to be associated with our charter organizations, St Pius X and St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Churches. Please enjoy your visit and make sure you look at all of the pages. We have a lot here to look at. Return often because our webmaster is always hard at work updating our site.
