Tri-State Tool was established in 1995 by Dick & Cindy Hoffman with the intent to provide the manufacturing industry with an honest and reliable tool sharpening service. Dick retired in 1997 at age 48 from John Deere Waterloo Works after 30 years of service. He was a tool grinder for over 25 of those years. He is very knowledgeable in the tool sharpening trade and actually enjoys what he does. He is an honest, straight-forward man that is true to his word. Our tool grinders as well as office and management staff are dedicated to producing high quality accurate work with a professional and honest attitude.
