Trio Sōra Information

“A very fine ensemble indeed” is how Sir András Schiff described the daring and charismatic Trio Sōra. Since their founding in 2015 they have won numerous awards and have already performed at London's Wigmore Hall and Southbank Centre, Bonn’s Beethoven-Haus, Verbier Festival, Philharmonie de Paris, Auditorium du Louvre, Folle Journée de Nantes and Festival d’Aix-en-Provence amongst many others. In Autumn 2020, the Trio Sōra will release its first CD of the complete Beethoven Piano Trios with Naïve Records. Their artistic hope is to break away from the image too often cast of Beethoven as a bleak, asocial and introverted figure, and instead celebrate his tremendous life-affirming sensitivity and modernity. The ensemble is in residence at the Fondation Singer-Polignac, Le Dimore Del Quartetto, ProQuartet-CEMC, and is supported by the Fondation Boubo-Music, the Günther Caspar Stiftung, Spedidam, the Swiss Life Foundation and Adami.
