We know that pacing is at the center of the performance. That finding ways to not only improve technique and ability but also to drive swimmers to gain efficiencies in pacing is critical for race day. We designed NOME to provide individual interactive cues and data that allow swimmers to stay in their headspace and focus on technique instead of a pace clock, and to train in a motivating and interactive way. Our goal is for the swimmer to FEEL the pacing intrinsically instead of having to constantly check the clock or hear sounds. They can simply “follow the lights” to stay on their desired pace while training.
