Nottingham High School is an independent day school situated about a mile north of Nottingham city centre, with over a thousand pupils from ages 4 to 18. We are made up of a Senior School and Sixth Form, the adjoining Nottingham High Junior School and Lovell House Infant School. Founded in 1513, the school has a rich heritage with a proud and passionate community of alumni spread around the world. We are a co-educational school and have been welcoming girls into all year groups since September 2015. At Nottingham High School we have a well-deserved national reputation both for our academic success and for the high standards achieved in the wide range of activities we offer. A leading, state-maintained and academically selective school for boys in North London. In 1573 Elizabeth I issued a Charter “for the establishment of the Free Grammar School of Queen Elizabeth in Barnet for the education, bringing up and instruction of boys in Grammar and other learning and the same to continue for ever.” Today QE remains a non-denominational, non-fee-paying, selective School with a mission of producing confident, able and responsible young men and, as such, continues to reflect the essential tenets of its Tudor Charter.
