Triboscience & Engineering (TS&E) is the Advanced Lubrication Science & Engineering Division of Kano Laboratories, a family of brands dedicated to solving complex lubrication, maintenance, and reliability challenges. Founded in 2000 and based in Fall River, Massachusetts, TS&E brings decades of internationally recognized expertise in advanced lubrication science, tribology, and specialty materials. From our approximately 20,000-square-foot laboratory, office, and manufacturing facility, our team takes highly engineered solutions from initial concept and R&D evaluation through formulation, testing, and commercial-scale manufacturing for customers worldwide. TS&E specializes in the development and manufacture of advanced synthetic lubricants, index-matching optical gels, thermal couplants, and ultra-filtered specialty materials. Our capabilities span all major synthetic base-oil technologies, including perfluoropolyethers (PFPEs), silicones, polyalphaolefins (PAOs), esters, and polyalkylene glycols (PAGs). Our solutions are engineered for demanding applications across industrial, automotive, electrical, electronics, food-production, and other specialized markets. Applications include gears and gearboxes, oxygen sensors, vehicle mechanical and electromechanical components, rolling-element and sintered-metal bearings, cams, electrical switches and connectors, production equipment, and hinges. In addition to custom formulation and manufacturing, TS&E produces private-label products for manufacturing partners and serves OEMs and end users through the Tribosyn® product line. Our technical consulting capabilities include failure analysis, expert legal support and witnessing, technical sales support, and educational seminars.
