Formed in 1969, TEDD is one of the first economic development districts formed in the state of Washington. Over the years TEDD's role has expanded to include becoming the Regional Transportation Planning Organization, as well as the managing entity of the Rural Opportunities Loan Fund. Among the five full-time and two part-time #TeamTEDD staff members are the District Planner; the Rural Opportunities Loan Fund Officer; our Finance Manager; a Regional Marketer; a Veteran's Services & Regional Mobility Coordinator; a Small Business Adviser and our Office Assistant. TEDD World Headquarters is located in Colville, WA, pop. 4700. Colville is the county seat for Stevens County and located pretty much smack dab in the middle of the tri-county area. Republic, WA, the county seat for Ferry County, is about an hour west from Colville along the Sherman Pass Scenic Byway. Newport, WA is about an hour and a half southeast of Colville and is the county seat for Pend Oreille County. Scattered all over northeast Washington are small towns with their own history and charm. No matter where you are headed to in the tri-county area, the drive is gorgeous.
