TRENMO Information

TRENMO (Transport, Engineering, Modelling) is a spin-off developed at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto. As a transport planning and territory consultancy company created in 2005 it has been linked with several projects in different areas. Its core business is the management of public transport operations and networks in cities of different dimensions and different forms of organisation. TRENMO is engaged with the strategy of mobility in cities: from the design of public transport models and the organization of transport operations (network design, timetables, organization of vehicles and staff), all the way to its implementation with stakeholders, such as politicians and the population. The acquired experience is a combination of staff coming from the management of companies, the training at the University of Porto and the involvement in the daily operations of the public transport operators. Therefore it has been a place of innovation, integration of knowledge, development of new methodologies, new products and training of human resources. The main motivation is to create value for its clients and for the society. TRENMO works in close relation with a wide range of key experts such as engineers, economists, mathematicians, geographers and architects. They together provide the most well fitted technical solutions working as a multidisciplinary team. In the projects that TRENMO is involved its professionals try to make a difference with the knowledge acquired within the team, the company and the years of experience acquired. The specialists, technicians and administrative staff work together without compromising the quality of the work delivered trying always to make a difference not only for the knowledge, innovation and commitment with the project but also for the importance of creating value to the client. The working process side by side and a direct relation with the clients represents a great deal for TRENMO vision and staff.
