Trench Tech Inc Information

Trench Tech, Inc. is a subcontractor for underground water and sewer installation developed by two brothers (with 42 years of combined experience in the excavating field as Wachter Excavating, Inc.) who were looking for a faster but safer, more efficient method of laying pipe without sacrificing quality. Wachter Excavating, Inc. has been a family owned and operated business for over 40 years. Starting as a residential company, we have grown into primarily commercial, industrial and large scale developments (which include anything from residential subdivisions to large multi-family units as well as mobile home parks). On most projects, there are substantial amounts of pipe for water, sanitary and storm sewer. For years, we installed this using the excavator, all the while wishing there was a better way. With this in mind, we purchased an Interdrain Trencher in 1997, modified it from it's dewatering capabilities to include rigid pipe installation as well. Trench Tech, Inc. handles this end of the business. This method of installation has enabled us to increase productivity by up to 5 times that of conventional methods. In 1998, Trench Tech, Inc. began offering it's services to other contractors nationwide. Today, our capabilities extend to both PVC and ductile iron to 24", and HDPE installation up to 16". We also have the capability to install dewatering sock tile to depths from 10' to 20'. We pride ourselves on our workmanship, because no matter how fast you install a system, should it fail for any reason, no one wins.
