The beautiful landscape we know and love is fast disappearing. At tentree, we believe that we can inspire a new group of consumers to tackle the environmental issues we are now faced with. By planting ten trees and ensuring that all our clothing is produced responsibly we allow each and every customer to make a difference. Our commitment to the environment isn't just a catchy hook to drive sales. It is something we fundamentally believe in, that will have an enormous impact on our environment going forward. Tree planting is a way of restoring the environment, maintaining ecosystems, and making our world a healthier place to live. This isn’t new; but what is new, is how we have used the concept of planting trees to inspire entrepreneurship, build sustainable communities, provide shelter and generally increase quality of life. The founders of tentree have years of experience in the tree planting industry and have used this to create a business model that ensures trees are planted sustainably and in a way that will have the greatest impact. Since 2010, Treedom has been regenerating the planet by planting trees that create lasting environmental and social impacts. Born as the first site in the world that allows you to plant trees remotely, more than 4 million trees in 17 countries exist today thanks to users and companies that have planted with us. Behind every tree there is much more: training for farmers, careful selection of species, constant monitoring and a concrete commitment to regenerating ecosystems. In our projects we work with local communities to restore value to the land and build a more sustainable future. We contribute to 13 of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the UN 2030 Agenda, addressing key issues such as biodiversity, social inclusion and economic development. Since 2014, we have been among the first B Corporations in Italy, a recognition that certifies our regenerative model and the positive impact generated every day. As the Los Angeles region faces severe impacts from climate change, TreePeople unites the power of trees, people and nature-based solutions to grow a more climate-ready city. The organization inspires, engages and supports Angelenos to take personal responsibility for the urban environment, facilitates collaboration among government agencies, and promotes leadership by grassroots volunteers, students and communities.
