Purpose - The TreeKaya Global Sustainability Alliance will provide collaborative research, information, education and resources for sustainable community development. Our desire is to be a solution-oriented nonprofit organization that implements local sustainability projects on a world-wide scale. (nonprofit status in process) Objective - Through the implementation of sustainable community development practices and conscious lifestyle choices our mission is to create a balanced global society that exists harmoniously with our natural environment. These decisions include respecting nature, efficient use of natural resources, environmentally conscious building practices, reducing consumption, creating less waste, creating healthy local economies, stimulating community supported agriculture, supporting renewable energy technology, protecting natural ecosystems and learning from indigenous practices. Global Sustainability Alliance - The Global Alliance will be a network of synergistic individuals and organizations who have chosen to work together towards the creation of a sustainable future. Treekaya Global will work together with our partners to develop local chapters and sustainability centers all around the world. Our intention is to provide community education centers in diverse ecosystems and various bioregions. We aim to create more efficient local communities with less dependency on outer resources.
