Treeborn makes chestnut chips for use in the brewing process. Chestnuts are a flavorful addition to an ale, stout, or any other type of beer you might be making, and they make an excellent base for gluten free beer as well. They are easy to use, and have been a brewing ingredient in Europe for centuries. We start by taking whole fresh chestnuts, removing their shell and revealing the golden kernel. Next, we slice the kernel ultra-thin which allows the sugars to release. Finally, we oven toast them to bring out their sweet and nutty flavor while naturally preserving them and their flavor for use anytime of year.
