Tree of Life Ministry Information

Tree of Life Ministries (TOLM) is a multi-faceted faith based non-profit serving the underprivileged and at-risk youth of Honduras. Our programs reach people in their communities, with the goal always to improve the lives of our youth, their communities and ultimately, impact the entire nation. Through our schools, we reach young people before they need to be rescued—providing them with education, training, housing and an opportunity to break the cycle of hopelessness and poverty. The Plan Escalon campuses provide a place where Honduran youth can live in a hope-filled, encouraging and empowering community. We focus on education and vocational training, enabling our graduates to secure meaningful, professional employment or follow their desire to learn by continuing to university. We maintain some of the highest post-graduation rates of employment and college attendance in Honduras. Our “Life in Action” community outreach is the aspect of our ministry that reaches out to surrounding communities with food, clothing, shoes, medical and school supplies, wheelchairs and medical and dental care. Life in Action makes every donation reach its full potential by targeting communities and individuals who most desperately need aid and help to reestablish themselves and their families. Through this program we build homes for Widows and Orphans and install water filtration systems to bring fresh, clean water to communities, improving the health of the entire village. The Tree of Life Church Headquarters is a church in action—working to strategically plant outpost churches, raise up local pastors, and provide ongoing support and oversight to assist in their growth and development. Strategically placed Outpost churches provide a place for the people in a local community to gather, have church, and be the church. The church becomes a center for faith, hope, and vision for their personal lives, their families, and their communities
