Treasure Coast Youth Symphony Information

The Treasure Coast Youth Symphony is composed of the most talented young musicians, selected by annual audition from Indian River, St. Lucie, Martin and northern Palm Beach counties in Florida. The orchestra was founded in 1987 and performs standard and classical literature, as well as modern transcriptions of Broadway scores. Conductors include Dr. John Enyart, Mr. Benjamin Enyart, and Mr. Thomas Servinsky. Performances are held at professional venues such as the Lyric Theatre in Stuart, the Waxlax Center for the Performing Arts in Vero Beach and the Eissey Campus Theatre at Palm Beach State College in Palm Beach Gardens. The Treasure Coast Youth Symphony provides challenging experiences in orchestral and individual performance for student musicians to broaden technical skills and artistic expression, to instill professionalism, and to enhance enjoyment of their musical talents for themselves and for their audiences. A concerto contest held annually for Treasure Coast Youth Symphony musicians provides solo performance experience with orchestral accompaniment. The Treasure Coast Youth Symphony awards scholarships to qualifying students to continue their music education during a summer music program of their choice or at the college level if entering a music curriculum in the fall, or to assist in purchase of a musical instrument or private music lessons. A non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization, the orchestra obtains funding through orchestra member dues, private contributions and performance revenues. The conductors, musicians, parents and all others involved spend countless volunteer hours managing, rehearsing and supporting the activities of the symphony.
