Our free travel app, available on Google Play and the App Store, serves as a comprehensive guide to accessibility. With a robust database of user-rated venues and services, the app enables users to filter locations by specific accessibility features, such as wheelchair ramps, accessible restrooms, and parking options. It’s more than a directory—it’s a community-driven tool that fosters inclusion and empowers users to explore the world confidently. At TravAble, we believe accessibility is a shared responsibility. That’s why we’ve collaborated with NGOs, municipalities, and users to map and verify accessible locations. Notable partnerships include working with the City of Reykjavík and Youth Center Hitt Húsið to map Reykjavik’s accessible sites. Our app offers solutions for individuals and families navigating accessibility challenges. By combining technology and user contributions, TravAble helps create a more inclusive society, one place at a time. TravAble has received significant recognition for its contributions, including nominations for Startup of the Year in Iceland at the Nordic Startup Awards and the Icelandic Federation of Disabled People’s Incentive Award. We were also honored to win the Stökkpallurinn IoT “Smart City” competition, demonstrating our commitment to innovation in accessibility.
