Trashy is a North Carolina-based materials company reinventing concrete by replacing mined ingredients with landfill-bound materials such as recycled glass and Styrofoam. What began as a furniture studio has evolved into a high-performance materials platform, developing next-generation concrete for architectural, commercial, and industrial applications. Trashy works with architects, designers, builders, manufacturers, and brands to create products and spaces that are both beautiful and materially innovative. The company's work has been recognized with the ICFF ASID NY Metro Innovation Award, the Be Original Americas Emerging Designer Award, Dezeen Selects, and the City of Raleigh Business Innovation for Environmental Stewardship Award, and has been featured by Design Milk and other leading design publications. Today, Trashy is building a library of proprietary low-carbon concrete formulations with the long-term vision of helping manufacturers across North America replace virgin materials with high-performance recycled alternatives.
