Transcend Recovery Community Information

We provide a gym membership to a luxury boutique gym that provides all access to a full boxing academy, yoga and circuit training as well as traditional gym equipment. Many of our clients surf or want to learn. We employ certified surf instructors who provide surf lessons weekly and we have surfboards and wetsuits available. This is at no additional cost. We believe whole-heartedly that physical fitness is a key factor in developing a full and sober life. Does Transcend help the clients find a job? Yes, when they are ready to look for work we will help them create a resume and walk through the process of getting a job. We have relationships with different businesses in the area and can help prepare clients for job interviews. We feel it's important to empower clients by helping them find employment. Does Transcend help the clients enroll in school? Yes, we will walk them through that entire process. There are often other students in the house to support clients with their educational goals. Will Transcend help them find a volunteer program? Yes, we work with different volunteer programs and will match the clients up with a cause they feel passionately about. Can Transcend help with letters to courts and such? Yes, we are happy to furnish a letter to any court about the clients stay at Transcend. Does Transcend provide 24/7 Staff? Yes, we employ 3 full shifts of staff members per day including an awake graveyard shift that makes hourly rounds, logs them and sends the logs to the Program Director of the house in the morning. How long has Transcend been open? Transcend has been open since April of 2009. What happens after a client is with Transcend? How does the client transition out of the house? Many of our clients go on to our Mentoring program. We feel that the transition into independent living is crucial, and the Mentoring program effectively smooths the transition to help ensure a clients long-term sobriety.
