Trans Island Airways is the only company in the Bahamas that holds an independent safety rating from ARG/US and Wyvern Ltd. Our pursuit of perfection started prior to our certification when we implemented our Safety Management System and type rated all of our pilots in their specific aircraft allowing them to know their equipment better than anyone. Today, our pilots refine their skills multiple times a year at FlightSafety International building on their system and procedural knowledge, our operations department undergoes regular classroom training and development and our customer service personnel implement new technology allowing us to respond to your needs faster and more accurately. When you arrive at the airport you meet our team of professional pilots who will talk you through your upcoming flight and familiarize you with the safety procedures for your aircraft. You’ll note that our new state of the art aircraft are equipped with the latest technology and our clean comfortable cabins will allow you to relax fully prior to your journey. What you won't see is the support that goes on around the clock when you are in the air and on the ground with Trans Island. We have partnered with MedAire and Fireside partners, the industry leaders in providing medical support and emergency services to our passengers and flight crews. All of our turbine aircraft are equipped with Automatic External Defibrillators and an expanded first aid kit allowing our trained pilots to help in flight if a medical emergency should arise, the only charter company in the country to do so.
