The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children® (NCMEC) leads the fight to protect children by creating vital services for them and the people who keep them safe. Every child deserves a safe childhood. Since 1984, NCMEC has served as the national clearinghouse and resource center for families, victims, private organizations, law enforcement and the public on issues relating to missing and sexually exploited children.

Our children are growing up in a digital world. We are experiencing a dramatic shift in how and where young people connect, learn, and play has left parents and our communities feeling helpless and uncertain about how to protect them. Predators are taking advantage of this new reality, exploiting children in digital spaces and creating new vulnerabilities for them. This global public health crisis has devastating impacts on children everywhere, while parents and caregivers struggle to navigate this new digital landscape and keep their kids safe. At Thorn, we envision a world where cutting-edge technology is proactively developed to defend children. We are an innovative nonprofit that transforms how children are protected from sexual abuse and exploitation in the digital age through cutting-edge technology, original research, and collaborative partnerships. We empower platforms and people who can protect children with the tools and resources to do so, using the power of technology to secure every kid’s right to childhood joy.

Named after the North Star, a historical symbol of freedom, Polaris works to reshape the systems that make sex and labor trafficking possible and profitable in North America. For more than a decade, Polaris has assisted thousands of victims and survivors through the U.S. National Human Trafficking Hotline and built the largest known U.S. data set on the crime. With the guidance of survivors, and working with public and private-sector partners, we use that data to understand and improve the way trafficking is identified, how victims and survivors are assisted, and how we can prevent this abuse at the scale of the problem - 25 million people worldwide robbed of the basic right to choose how they live and work.
