Spectrum Networks formally known, as Spectrum Consulting was first established in 1991. Spectrum Consulting originally built and maintained the Australia Public Access Network Association. This was Australia's first public I.S.P run from a backyard garage with a bank of dial up modems and a 128Kbps link to the Internet. In 1994, Spectrum Consulting was approached to build one of Australia's first commercial I.S.P's then called Microplex. By 1995 Microplex became one of the biggest ISP's in Australian then in 1998 Cable & Wireless Optus acquired Microplex. After a short break in 1999, Spectrum Consulting changed its name to Spectrum Networks Pty Ltd and entered in to the market under it's own name. With now almost 3 decades of networking experience it would be hard to find a company that's been in the Internet services industry as long as we have. Spectrum Networks is one of the original and oldest I.S.P's in Australia. We are very proud to be fully Australian owned and all support and services are provided locally. We cater exclusively to the business and corporate industries only, this way we are able to provide great products and services as well as skilled customer service.
