Through leadership, prevention, management and research, Diabetes Australia is committed to reducing the impact of diabetes. We work in partnership with diabetes health professionals and educators, researchers and healthcare providers to minimise the impact of diabetes on the Australian community. Diabetes Australia is a respected and valued source of information, advice and views utilised by government and the community. Our credibility and independence as a national voice allows us to translate knowledge and evidence into advocacy and programs for diabetes. Diabetes Victoria is the leading charity and peak consumer body working to reduce the impact of diabetes in the Victorian community. With almost 370,000 Victorians living with diabetes, our work has never been more important. Our mission is to support, empower and campaign for all Victorians affected by diabetes. We are committed to minimising the impact of diabetes in the community, helping all people affected by diabetes and contributing to the search for a cure. We rely heavily on the generosity of our caring community of members and supporters through donations and bequests to fund our diabetes education, awareness activities and research. Our work supports people living with type 1, type 2 and gestational diabetes, as well as programs for people at risk of developing the condition. Our offices are on the traditional land of Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung Country in Melbourne CBD and Campbellfield, Victoria. Diabetes Victoria acknowledges the traditional custodians of the lands and pays respect to their Elders, past and present.
