TOAD, LLC (Total Openings Application Developers) was created in 2004 to embrace the needs of Distributors & Manufacturers in the Door & Hardware Industry. With insight on both sides of the Industry, and several years of experience with Windows based Rapid Application Development, we are uniquely positioned to develop the Next Generation of software tools & services. The first major TOAD offering launched in February 2005. It is a Hardware Configurator component, invented by TOAD and co-developed with Petersen Custom Software. This is truly a cutting-edge solution designed with Microsoft's .Net (dot-net) technology. This component can be integrated into any MS Windows application. It provides: a drill-down style Product Specifier, Pricing, Validation Logic, Cut-Sheets (in PDF format) and more. This is offered as a subscription-based service. The initial roll-out of this product was in Software for Hardware (by Petersen Custom Software, Inc.), and Total Openings Pro (a Kelley Bros solution). In 2008 we added an integration with contractERP by AccessIT. And in 2010 we've created integrations with e/PWS by eMullion Corp. Much of the work has already been done for a January 2017 launch with SpecWorks® by HCS Tech, LLC In 2016 we launched TOP-Office for FileMaker®. This begins our cross-platform effort with native clients for Windows, Mac & iOS as well as a Web-browser version.
