Toronto Ski Club Information

The Toronto Ski Club (TSC) was formed in 1924, and grew steadily through the 1920's and 1930's. By 1940 it was the largest local ski club in the world, with over 7,000 member skiers. TSC members where influential in the pioneering and development of alpine skiing not only in Ontario but in all of Canada. In the 1940's TSC played a pivotal role in the creation of what would become Blue Mountain Resort. That relationship continues to this day with the TSC clubhouse sitting at the North end or the resort property. TSC alumni have made significant contributions to the building of Canadian winter sport, and have excelled as athletes. Alumni included Canadian National Team ski racing icons like "Crazy Canuck" Todd Brooker, as well as future Olympic hopefuls like Canadian Snowboard racer Taylor Wilton. Today TSC, is not only one of Canada's oldest ski clubs, but a vibrant member of the winter sports community. TSC has evolved into a family focused club for all ages, offering its members an array of top-calibre ski, snowboard and freestyle programs on the slopes of Ontario's largest mountain resort, Blue Mountain. TSC continues to support and foster the development of young winter sports athletes hosting local ski and snowboard races as well as provincial and national championship events. TSC's evolution as a club and leader within the winter sports community continues into the future. TSC has joined the Canadian Club Excellence Program and has embarked on becoming the first ski club in Canada to attain the Canadian Club Excellence Certification.
