Torchlight Technologies Information

Torchlight is a security technology company that identifies and addresses gaps in complex international security systems. It develops applied technologies designed to work in regulated environments, where solutions need to be practical, scalable and aligned with existing frameworks. Torchlight engages with industry leaders, national bodies, and technical partners. These partnerships support deployment, integration, and adoption within existing systems — connecting capability to implementation within regulated environments. Torchlight’s capability is currently expressed through AmTag™, a chemical taggant that renders previously untraceable small-arms ammunition individually traceable. The Federal Government of Somalia became the first sovereign state to render its national ammunition stockpile traceable using AmTag™ in February 2025. Since then, AmTag™ has been deployed in Spain, Portugal, Papua New Guinea, and Benin. In December 2023, the United Nations adopted the Global Framework for Through-life Conventional Ammunition Management (GFA). AmTag™ is cited in Framework as a new technological solution for the lot-marking of small-calibre ammunition. It is the only commercial product cited by name in the relevant Objective and supporting Technical Guidance issued to States. Torchlight will lead technical innovation in the international security and supply chain compliance space.
