Envisage a free society with a strong voice for PLHIV and ensuring quality of life. Providing and maintaining a network of support groups and advocate for people living with and affected by HIV and AIDS. Tonata management and staff will hold a Quarterly Review Meeting (QRM) from 24 - 25 June 2020 at Mahangu Lodge in Kavango East. As a tradition, during these QRMs Tonata as an organisation would take stock of the quarterly project activities in all eight districts and between all departments, do a self-reflection and devise system re-engineering, and formulate strategic program direction. Each district and department will review their progress with a focus on achievements, challenges, and then chart the way forward. A self-reflection on the organisational capacity, resources, activities alignment with the organisational vision and mission, organisational positioning and strategic direction. The meeting will unravel Tonata's competitive edge and stumbling blocks to success, and articulate best strategies to achieve expected results. The QRM will strive to identify threats and opportunities facing the organisation, while determining and addressing its weaknesses and build on its strengths. The QRM will also review the knock-on effect of COVID-19 outbreak on project progress, and the remedial solutions adopted to continue delivering on the project mandate, which include, inter alia, scaling up access to ARVs treatment for PLHIV through Community Adherence Groups (CAGs), social mobilisation and ensuring the quality of service, and data capturing and monitoring. It is a common cause that the State of Emergency as a result of COVID-19 outbreak came with regulations which restricts, inter alia, movements of people and gatherings, advocating social distancing, respiratory hygiene , de-congestion of health facilities, and later mandatory wearing of masks.
