Tomrods Ltd was incorporated in October 1973 over 40 years ago and now has 48 employees, over 7000 tonnes of general steels in stock, 95,000 sq. ft. (10,000 sq. m) of covered warehousing set within a company owned 9 acre site and a fleet of wagons as well as extensive processing facilities. We are situated at Thirsk in North Yorkshire. We have easy access to all our customers in the North of England as well as to the Humber ports. Our fleet of 8 wagons deliver daily into all of these areas providing a just-in-time service to all our UK and European customers. In addition to the supply of standard stock lengths we have five bandsaws, which can provide an individual cut to length service as well as mitre and bundle cutting of sizes up to 1016x305mm. We have on site shot-blasting and painting facilities and we can offer advanced drilling, notching & milling as part of these comprehensive services. Tomrods has always prided itself on the quality of the product that it sells. We are certified to ISO 9001:2008 by SCCS a UKAS accredited certification body under certificate number Q 247. We are always working at adding to the quality of the product and the service that we give to our customers. Tomrods is also a CE approved processing centre to Execution Class 4 (EXC4) BS EN 1090-1:2009 + A1:2011. Financially the Directors have always believed that a strong balance sheet is an essential part of being successful. Since our conception we have retained profits within the Company to provide for the continuing investment needed to remain ahead of our competitors as well as enabling us to take advantage of new technology.
