The Animal Welfare League of Arlington (AWLA) provides animal adoption and community programs to the northern Virginia and D.C. metropolitan area, as well as animal rescue and control services within Arlington County. For 70 years AWLA has remained committed to its mission to improve the lives of animals through sheltering, community services and humane education.

EASEL is a 501(c)(3) non-profit animal welfare organization with the mission of reducing the number of unwanted animals killed in Mercer County, through the power of collaborative coalitions and community alliances. Our Vision is a community where the human-animal bond is strong and an environment of respect for living creatures guarantees animals a healthy indoor home or safe habitat. We work to: maintain a no-kill, best practices animal shelter, facilitate placement of stray and unwanted pets in desirable homes,prevent overpopulation and cruelty to animals and promote responsible home ownership through humane education. Currently, EASEL's volunteer network of concerned residents provide assistance in the following areas: Trap/Neuter/Return of feral cats, fostering unwanted cats, dogs and horses, adoption days at Petsmart, PETCO, Rosedale Mills, Concord Pets and Dogs & Cats Rule.

PawSafe Animal Rescue exists to provide a better life for adoptable companion animals without homes and to assist in the effort to limit the overpopulation of these animals through a low kill methodology. The key principles that we follow to assist us in achieving our goals are:Keep animals in their homes through quality veterinary care, training programs and community education. Shelter and find homes for sick, injured, abused and abandoned adoptable domestic animals. Reduce overpopulation of these animals through spay and neuter programs. Prevent cruelty to these animals by enforcing animal protection laws. Foster compassion towards these animals through education.Share our knowledge and experience with other animal welfare organizations.
