German immigrants formed the school district in 1928. Klein ISD is a Recognized District with the Texas Education Agency. The district has more than 47,900 students, and it employs about 6,100 people. The center of the district is 40 minutes from downtown Houston.
Tomball Independent School District (TISD) is fully accredited by the Texas Education Agency PK-12, and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools grades 7-12.
TISD serves students in northern Harris County and southwestern Montgomery County, Texas.
