Thinking Out of the Box Engineering Applications (TOBEA Ltd) was founded in 2012. It is occupied with designing, manufacturing, and marketing mechanical applications. We want to create innovative products and services which can be commercialized in order to be used by social groups which are excluded because of their disabilities as we detected a gap in utilities. TOBEA’s activity is based on innovation. Nowadays that the life cycle of products has radically reduced the ability of a company to replenish its products with new, innovation takes on increased importance. The importance is enormous if you consider the volatility of the current business environment. We are inspired by the results of our endeavors which reward our vision and we constantly try to improve and develop. Our benchmark SEATRAC is a non- permanent device for autonomous access to the sea for disabled people that holds Greek, European and US patents. The device enables users to enjoy swimming autonomously which was impossible before this invention. SEATRAC is a product commercially available since 2012. Since then it has undergone constant development in order to achieve smoother, safer and more reliable operation. Overall, there have been 61 devices sold to 40 municipalities, and 4 devices to private owners such as hotels, beach bars, and generally seaside services in Greece, Italy and Cyprus. In the summer season 2017, there have been more than 13000 uses.
