TND Engineering is a sole proprietorship based in Portsmouth, New Hampshire TND Engineering evolved from Chester Chellman, Consulting Engineer, as increasing amounts of this consulting practice were focused on TND work of all sorts. TND Engineering brings together an understanding of the philosophy needed for good design with the technical expertise to ensure proper function. Many firms are good a big picture thinking. Other firms are very good at technical analysis. TND Engineering brings both of these attributes together to avoid situations where great analysis is conducted based on false underlying premises. Stated most simply, TND Engineering specializes in creating streets as public places where it feels good to be a pedestrian while at the same time providing the other necessary functions of the street.
